    Microsoft security warning

    I had an alarm go off yesterday and a window stating that I had a security warning. It said "Microsoft security warning. Call Microsoft technical support immediately 888 461 2668." It showed a company called Tomusis and that I had a computer virus. Upper
    left corner, "RDN/Trojan worm 055BCCAC9FEC Infection"They charged me $599.99 to fix it. Is this a company tied in with Microsoft? Or is this a money scam?

    1 888 2361 scam

    "Your Windows has been blocked due to suspicious activity......... call 1-888-408-2361" for customer service. This froze my laptop and set off an annoying alarm, and warning me not to shutdown or restart. All started when I clicked on a search for MSNBC.

    Anyone had this problem and /or have a fix?
