Windows 10: Microsoft sharepoint.exe in OneDrive

Why in a folder C:\Users\thisName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\23.153.0724.0003 installing Microsoft SharePoint.exe ?I've seen this OneDrive update come out, but why does it have Microsoft SharePoint?When I try to open it, nothing happens, but the use process in the task manager disappears, and if it's already running, it drowns.

New Microsoft SharePoint mobile, OneDrive apps start rolling out May

Microsoft is planning on releasing new SharePoint mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows starting this quarter, as well as a new OneDrive Universal Windows Platform application for Windows 10.

Company officials will release more details about Microsoft's SharePoint future roadmap during a May 4 "Future of SharePoint" virtual event.

SharePoint provides content management and collaboration capabilities. It's one of Microsoft's multi-billion-dollar businesses in its own right, and currently has more than 190 million users in 200,000-plus companies, Microsoft officials say.

As officials have made clear previously. those using SharePoint Online, rather than SharePoint on-premises, will get all new features first. Some of the features on this list won't ever make it into SharePoint on-premises, as some of those are cloud-dependent (for example, anything dependent on Office 365 Groups or the Office Graph).

Microsoft officials recently disclosed when sharing details about its OneDrive cloud-storage roadmap that the company didn't plan to deliver synchronization of SharePoint Online document libraries with the OneDrive sync client until toward the end of calendar 2016. But the comapny does plan to provide some other SharePoint-OneDrive synchronization in the interim period.

OneDrive sync now supports IRM protected SharePoint document libraries

Information Rights Management (IRM) lets people set access permissions to help prevent sensitive information from being printed, forwarded, or copied by unauthorized people. When permission for a file is restricted by using IRM, the access and usage restrictions are enforced even if the file reaches unintended recipients. This is because the access permissions are stored in the document, workbook, presentation, or e-mail message itself, and these must be authenticated against the IRM server.

In SharePoint, IRM lets you protect your files when downloaded and control who can access downloaded files. Downloaded files are encrypted and can only be opened by users that meet the requirements of the IRM policy set on the SharePoint library.

We are currently rolling out an update to the OneDrive sync client that supports syncing IRM protected SharePoint libraries and will hit all users by the end of January. If you want to try this out now, you can find a direct installer link below.

Follow these steps to allow your users to sync IRM libraries:

Deploy and install the RMS (Rights Management Service) client to your users’ machines.

Make sure the OneDrive sync client is up to date. The minimum version required for IRM sync is 17.3.7294.0108 and you can download it here. To check your version: Right click on OneDrive in the taskbar > Settings > About.

Have your users navigate to any IRM protected SharePoint document library and click ‘Sync’.

Design and draft with the AutoCAD web app

The AutoCAD web app lets you design and draft in AutoCAD on any computer. It gives you quick, anytime access to the latest drawings from anywhere without having AutoCAD installed on your machine. View, edit, and create CAD drawings in a simplified interface that runs in your local web browser. The AutoCAD web app is included with an AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscription.

The DWG file opens from SharePoint or OneDrive into the AutoCAD web app (web.autocad.com).

Of course, you can also open AutoCAD DWG files directly into the AutoCAD desktop application and use the full suite of tools, views, and workflows.
