I am 68 years old and I have no idea as to how to fix my malfunctioning computer. I was caught by surprise when my keyboard when it stopped working in a sporadic mode. I would have to stop whatever document I was working on, save it and then shut my computer down. After a couple of days of this behavior, the keyboard started shutting down on a more consistent basis. I went out and purchased a new keyboard thinking that it was the keyboard, alas I found out that it was NOT the keyboard but the update that Windows 10 installed on my computer. I have no idea what to do and I am deftly afraid of trying to make any changes to this computer on my own. It is very unfair that Microsoft would seemingly infect my computer and then have unmitigated gall to tell the consumer that we have to make repairs ourselves. I have contacted an attorney and I'm looking into just what exactly my rights. I have definitely had enough missed deadline because of the constant keyboard shut down. I need Help !

Now U.S.-based consumers using the latest Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10 devices can sign in to their Microsoft account and use Microsoft Pay to make secure purchases wherever Masterpass is accepted online. More broadly, Microsoft Pay allows for a seamless and convenient consumer experience within the Microsoft ecosystem, including paying bills in Outlook, and buying goods or services in apps or bots.

“We are always seeking to enhance our users shopping experience in a secure and simple manner and this latest release does that by leveraging the growing Masterpass network,” says Will White, partner group program manager at Microsoft. “We will continue to seek opportunities to enhance the shopping experience by leveraging standards and working with innovative partners like Mastercard.”

Microsoft Pay and the integration with Masterpass is another step forward in the continued effort to provide consumers with a Microsoft account – a fast and easy way to pay at more places than before.

Microsoft will have no choice but to give consumers free Windows upgrades once it launches Windows 10 and kicks off its fast-fast-fast tempo, an analyst asserted.

"If Microsoft wants consumers to update and keep up to date, it really means that Microsoft is going to have to give those consumers those updates for free. There's really no other way to do it," said Michael Silver of Gartner at the research firm's annual technology conference.
"A consumer isn't going to give Microsoft a credit card and say, 'Charge me for a new release whenever one comes out,'" Silver added. "It's very likely that consumer releases will be free."
That will affect Microsoft's bottom line: With Windows 10 expected to be the nameplate for the OS for years longer than the usual three-year cycle between major upgrades -- from Windows 7 to Windows 8, say -- free means that consumers will never again have to pay to upgrade their PC's OS.
