Windows 10: Microsoft Sidewinder 2 and Windows 11 z calibration

Hello!I have two new Microsoft Sidewinder 2 joysticks and Windows 11. I do not use the twist stick and have rudder pedals.However, when calibrating the stick, the z calibration refuses to budge from the extreme right and therefore in flight, the stick will go upwards and right.Any ideas on how to get over the z calibration?Cheers,Jay

MIcrosoft Sidewinder calibration issue

Hi,

My "old" Sidewinder is being returned to service, and I wonder if the problem it has is something that can be resolved. It worked perfectly with Flight Sim, but I am now thinking of upgrading to Flight-X. The calibration in Flight-X gave this result, so
I tried to check the calibration within Windows 10, and have the same problem.

When calibrating, the joystick itself calibrates perfectly, however the "throttle" lever, even though it makes full travel, only shows as half movement on the calibration screen. The bar moves across the screen all the time the lever is moving but only reaches
half the distance - is there a way of changing the sensitivity?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to download Sidewinder Game Controller Software 4.0

• Disconnect the game controller from your computer's universal serial bus (USB) port.
• Insert the Microsoft Sidewinder compact disc into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Hold down the SHIFT key to prevent installation from automatically starting.
• On your desktop, double-click My Computer, and then browse to the following file:
  CD-ROM drive:\Setup\Setup.exe
  
• Double-click Setup.exe to start the installation process.
• Restart your computer when prompted.
• Plug the SideWinder game controller into your computer's USB port, and then allow Microsoft Windows to detect and install it.
  
  Install the software update if the controller is the Sidewinder Game Controller Software 4.0
• Restart your computer.
