Windows 10: Microsoft sign in not working with Minecraft for Nintendo Switch

Recently I have been trying to sign into my Microsoft account on Minecraft for Nintendo switch, however when I go to https://aka.ms/remote connect and put in the code given, I will put in my password and will be signed into my Xbox account as well but when I go back to minecraft and try to sign in again the same thing will happen. Like a repetitive cycle, no matter how many times I put in the code and 'sign in' I won't actually be signed in on my switch. I don't believe it's a problem with my Nintendo online either because I still have at least 4 days left until it expires. This also only star

Nintendo switch and minecraft

When playing Minecraft on Nintendo Lite and switch it says to log in to Microsoft account from another device.

I do this and it says successfully logged in, however when going back to the Nintendo it will still say sign in and we can not go any further?

Could you advise?

Also on Microsoft account you can add devices such as Xbox, can you not add Nintendo??
