Windows 10: Microsoft Solitaire Collection 2018 update

I have been playing MS Solitaire Spider free for years and it has always been the best version. Now it has been ruined by games apps ads hijacking the game before you can start playing. There is no way to get rid of them unless you pay, which defeats the whole purpose of letting you play these card games for free because now, obviously, it isn't, unless you suffer through the video clip until it has played out, which is really, really annoying and not good for anyone's blood pressure. I feel really resentful that Microsoft has done this to what was a marvellous card collection. So, my question is: Why does Microsoft need to make even more money from lowly solitaire players on top of the megabucks they already make from selling its other products? Are they being downright greedy and don't give a **** about their end users?

There are a lot of possible reasons why you are having this issue, one of the common reasons is corrupted statistics file on the account. To help you reset the statistics of your main account, we suggest
that you follow the steps below:

• First you need to close Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
• In Windows Explorer go to: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftSolitaireCollection_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\UserData\Guest\Statistic\
  
• Rename Statistic.ark as old-Statistic.ark.
• Then try to run the Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

The statistics file will be deleted, and everything will be set back to 0.
