Windows 10: Microsoft store and all apps installed from it instantly close once opened

I have been having this issue for a few months now, after i left my laptop and it was fully dead for a week the store and apps started working, but the next day the issue reappeared, once the app opens only the function bar and borders appear for less than a second then the app closes.


In my previous thread we managed to narrow down the issue to the app manifest file being missing, but non of the resolutions offered helped and i got no reply. Is there any way to fix this issue without a full re-install? As since my school is closed I cannot get them to re-image my laptop.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
