    Microsoft Store and OS Reinstall


    If ever down the line I have to reinstall my OS, games downloaded from Microsoft Store are saved to an external HDD. So after reinstalling Windows will I have to reinstall the games or will plugging in the HDD just work and the games will pop up.

    I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

    Question about OS reinstall

    If i reinstall my os, It does not take off my Mobo drivers does it?? And if i have Win xp i can reinstall 100 times if i want right? Thanks! Also.. Can i contact microsoft this late if needed? W/o Paying

    Hi James,

    To resolve your concern about Windows Store, we suggest for you to follow these steps:

    • Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
    • Type wsreset.exe and press
      Enter      .
    • Restart the PC, sign in with your Microsoft user account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.

    Let us know how it goes.
