    Someone please tell me why Microsoft store on windows PC is NOT allowing me to choose where I download apps to. It’s like they’re forcing me to download on my Local drive for what? So I can crash my computer and pay another few 1000$ for a replacement?They need to fix this issue or face a damn lawsuit. Forcing download locations should be a criminal offense. I WONT crash my pc over their mistakes!

    Microsoft Store (Windows 10) will not download apps

    Hello Aled,

    We understand that you want to install the Halo and Halo Forge applications from the Microsoft Store. Usually, the error occurs if the Store cache is not cleared or the "Allow apps to use my location" option is not enabled and if there is any proxy connection
    set. To isolate this, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps in this article:

    Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store    . I also suggest performing the methods below to further resolved this issue:

    Method 1:

    Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.

    1. Press the “Windows + W”.

    2. Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.

    3. Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.

    4. Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.



    Method 2:

    Please disable proxy, if you are using proxy connection.

    1. Click the Gearbox at the top right corner in internet explorer.
    2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
    3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
    4. Uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.
    5. Click OK to save and close the window.

    Please post back with the result for further assistance.
