Windows 10: Microsoft store App download location

Someone please tell me why Microsoft store on windows PC is NOT allowing me to choose where I download apps to. It’s like they’re forcing me to download on my Local drive for what? So I can crash my computer and pay another few 1000$ for a replacement?They need to fix this issue or face a damn lawsuit. Forcing download locations should be a criminal offense. I WONT crash my pc over their mistakes!

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

Method 1:

Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.

1. Press the “Windows + W”.

2. Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.

3. Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.

4. Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.



Method 2:

Please disable proxy, if you are using proxy connection.

1. Click the Gearbox at the top right corner in internet explorer.
2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
4. Uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.
5. Click OK to save and close the window.
