How do I get the microsoft store app back without having to roll back the update?

Microsoft Store apps missing after updating to 20H2

Hello,

I recently updated to 20H2, and after updating I noticed the icons for the MS Store app shortcuts I had were missing. So, I tried to repair the app. Icon still missing. Tried to reset the app, and still nothing. But what I noticed was after I reset the app,
it is acting like I uninstalled it. I did not uninstall it, and the folder for the app is still present in the WindowsApps and ModifiableWindowsApps directories. And, when I try to click on the shortcut with the missing icon, the Microsoft Store will open
and direct me to the "Gaming Services" app page, and that is already installed. I have tried running the Microsoft Store apps troubleshooter from settings, but that found nothing. If there are any more details that would be helpful to know, please let me know.

Edit: I should also note that I was already having some issues with the MS Store before updating to 20H2, and I was hoping that updating would fix at least some of the issues.

Microsoft is purging a lot of low quality apps from the Windows Store

"Microsoft is sending emails to some Windows Store developers informing them that their apps have been removed from the Store for violating its quality standards."

"Neowin reports that app developers have been receiving these emails over the past couple of days:

In its latest review of the Store, Microsoft is evaluating if the published apps are good enough to be listed in the Windows Store. This includes publicly available apps as well as private beta apps. Additionally, Microsoft is also asking developers to delete any promotional campaigns for their apps to prevent advertising charges. Similarly, app name reservations are also being nullified; which means that if your app is unpublished, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to republish it under the same name.

Officially, the policies for the Microsoft Store says that apps must have "distinct and informative metadata" and "provide a valuable and quality user experience". There are also some specific standards that must be in the apps, including having a name that is not similar to another app or device, along with offering a description that is accurate about its features and functions.

There have certainly been many Windows Store users who have complained over the years about the large number of apps published that are clones of other apps or ones that are simply poorly made. Hopefully, this new move by Microsoft will help to curb these issues, at least for now."

Win 10 Microsoft App Store Missing

Hi, I'm having a huge issue with a clients laptop and none of the forums , YouTube tutorials or Microsoft support has been able to help me with this problem .
The Microsoft store App has completely disappeared from they're Laptop , other Microsoft store apps are still there but they don't run.

I have tired to use the methods mentioned on theses websites ( only posting a few since all of them say the same things)

This is the one ill use as reference: Solved: Microsoft Store App missing in Windows 10 version 2004

In the above mentioned site it gave a few ways to fix it ( none worked ) , i'll list all the ones i tried and try and give as much information about the results as possible.
In order :
1 . Run Trouble Shooter for "Windows Store Apps" , no problems detected .
2 . Reset Windows Store cache using Win+R . gives you the "you'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store" popup box
3 . Re-Register Microsoft Store using power shell (look at reference link to see what code was used , results in the posted snapshot)





4 . Run DISM command in elevated command prompt (again look at reference for commands used) , "check health" showed component store as repairable,
but following commands resulted in nothing but 16 hours of waiting with no results
5 . Manually Repair Microsoft Store , downloaded the file given (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=619547)
ran the first command step 5. as written on site (results image ) . tried skipping step 5. and went straight to step 6. (results in image)

Also . . . . unfortunately i don't know when the problem started or if it was caused after a update , app install or something like that . All i know about what happened before i was contacted is what they told me , apparently the Microsoft store kept giving a error code when trying to update or connect to account ( they conveniently don't remember the code though) . i have searched all they're apps from top to bottom and i cant find any trace of the MS store , all that remains are the games and apps they downloaded from the store before it started with it's problems .

I also ask that any info or help you can give to be posted below (obviously) and if you guys can possibly also send it to my personnel email L: [email protected] ( this account was created with my clients details , i don't use my personnel details on my clients devices ever! . any info you guys can send to my own email will help me a lot , since i might then be able to start making any necessary preparations before getting back to them )
