    Microsoft Store Check Your Connection error


    Hi,I am using Windows 10 Pro and I cannot access the Microsoft Store. When I open it, I get a message saying "Check your connection. Microsoft Store needs to be online. It looks like you're not." Underneath this message, there is a button labeled "Check Connection", it brings me to the Network Status page under Windows Settings. This page indicates that I am in fact connected to the Internet. I found a few videos on YouTube that suggested the following:Make sure I am not set to use a proxy serverRepair the Microsoft Store AppReset the Microsoft Store AppMake sure that my system date and

  2. Error 0x800704cf in microsoft store

    Hi,

    As per the error message, your internet connection might have something to do with the error code 0x800704cf. The anti-virus on your computer can also be the culprit here. However, let us not assume anything yet until we isolated your concern. We suggest
    that you download and run the Windows Store App Troubleshooter. Once done, check if the issue persists.
    You can also check if the Store works in another user account. If the issue
    still persists, we suggest to reset the Microsoft Store. Here are the steps on how to do so:

    • Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, the type in wsreset.exe.
    • Hit Enter to proceed.

    You may reset the Store a couple of times before checking if the issue persists.

    Let us know the result of the troubleshooting steps provided above.

    Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

    1. Does this issue occur every time you open Windows Store?

    2. Are you able to browse the internet?

    As per the error message, I would suggest that you perform the methods that are mentioned below:

    Method 1:

    Check your Internet Connection, if you are connected to a metered connection, switch to a wired or wireless connection and check if the issue persist. Also, I would suggest that you access the web and download any program and check if you face any issues
    while doing so.

    Method 2: If you do not face any issues with your connection, I would suggest that you perform wsreset which will reset the cookies and cache pertaining to store.

    • Right click on the Start menu and select
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type/copy wsreset onto the window and hit Enter

    Note: Make sure that you close Windows Store before executing this command.

    • Do let us know if you are using wired/ wireless internet connection on your device?

    I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Use
    Internet Connection Troubleshooter.

    Internet Connection Troubleshooter find and fix the problems with connecting to the internet or to websites.

    • Click on Start; in the start search type
      Troubleshooter and hit Enter.
    • In the left pane, click onView all.
    • Click on Internet Connection Troubleshooter.
    • Select Advance and click on
      Run as Administrator.
    • Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

    Step 2: I suggest you to clear cache and cookies from the Microsoft Edge browser.

    Steps:

    • Open Microsoft Edge, click on
      More Action at the right top corner.
    • Click on Settings, click on
      Choose what to clear
      under Clear browsing data.
    • Select the Browsing history, caches and cookies and hit
      Clear.
    • Close the browser and try to open it again.

    Step 3: Run WSReset.exe .

    • Press Windows+R key to open Run box
    • Enter wsreset.exe in the Run command and then tap or click
      OK.
    • Restart your computer and check.
