Windows 10: Microsoft Store Crashes Before Loading

I had never tried to use the Microsoft Store on my PC prior to upgrading from Windows 7 to 10. I was unable to do so almost a year ago when I first upgraded, and it still won't let me open it today. I just purchased Minecraft for Windows 10 to play with a friend having forgotten about the problem, and I'm just getting frustrated all over again.


Upon attempting to open the app it: opens the window, shows the logo, shows a moving loading icon in the center for maybe a second, and then the window closes with no error message or other notice that it has closed for a certain reason. Any ideas? I have already attempted a few things I found on old posts from 2015, 2017, and so on, but I thought maybe there might be something different I could try now.

Microsoft Store will not load

Hi,

Corrupted system files could be the main reason why you're Store is not loading and you're getting error messages. Since you were able to perform all the steps needed and the issue still persists, we suggest following the steps below:

• Install Windows updates.
• Disable the antivirus software temporarily.

Microsoft Edge crashing since latest Windows 10 updates

Hi Steve,

There could be changes made or updates performed on your computer that causing your Microsoft Edge to crash. To help us isolate this problem, we suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache. Follow these steps:

• In the Cortana search bar, type in WSReset.exe.
• Click on Run as administrator.
• Once the Windows Store has been reset, you'll get a conformation message saying that:
  The cache for the Store was cleared. You can now browse the Store for apps.

Try opening Microsoft Edge and see if it loads.

Microsoft Jigsaw Will Not Load

I was getting Error Code: 0x803F8001 both before and after "uninstalling" Microsoft Jigsaw. It worked perfectly for years, but stopped working within the last week. It would start to load, and eventually bomb out. I have tried the following suggestions:

• Uninstall Jigsaw. Now I cannot reinstall Jigsaw. Get Error Code: 0x803F8001
  

• All steps above from Jomari Arc . Step #4 took longer than expected, but it did eventually do what you
  said. These steps did not allow me to reinstall Microsoft Jigsaw.

• Microsoft Windows Store App. Troubleshooter - It ran and said it fixed a "possibly corrupted cache" . This did not allow me to reinstall Microsoft Jigsaw.

In a similar community, titled "Microsoft Jigsaw Error code Ox803F8001", I tried all of the steps from Loraine Mon, from this link: Microsoft Jigsaw Error code Ox803F8001

Again, this did not allow me to reinstall Microsoft Jigsaw. Messages are "downloading", then "acquiring license", and then it errors out with Error Code: 0x803F8001

Day after day, same problem. Xbox and Store and Solitaire all work fine. Microsoft Jigsaw is the problem. When it was installed, it bombed out trying to open. After "uninstalling", it will not reinstall.
