Windows 10: Microsoft Store download error: Code: 0x800706D9

I am unable to download/install apps from the Microsoft StoreClicking on the 'Get' button starts an attempt to download the app resulting in the button turning to 'Retry' stating "There has been an error. See details". Details, "Something unexpected happened. Reporting this problem will help us understand it better. You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device [Done many times]. That may help. Code: 0x800706D9". I have tried the below searches and answers without success. Please be aware I am not IT savvy and things like searching/editing the registry are mostly beyond me.Microsoft

unadle to download apps-error code 0x800706d9

Since recently I can not download any app from the Store. I get the error code 0x800706d9. Same with Windows updates. What could be wrong? Things worked in the past.

Everytime I try to download an app from the store, I receive the following error Code: 0x800706D9 and I cannot install it. Also the apps (Calculator, snipping tool etc) which were installed before the update to Windows 11 do not work.
