Windows 10: microsoft store fails to open in windows 11.

I click on the icon, and nothing happens. No error message, nothing. I have tried a number of the troubleshooting steps without success. I've seen this written up a bunch but don't know how to resolve.

W11 - Microsoft Store does not open

When I click on the MS Store icon nothing happens. The icon also appears to be greyed out.

Tried all of the following with no success:

• Tried all the suggestions here: How to Fix Windows 11 Microsoft Store not Working (3 Ways) (ubackup.com)
  
• Also tried this but couldn't seem to get the syntax correct for the command. In any case, I am using Azure and don't want to be using a local admin accoun: Windows Store missing entirely in fresh Windows 11 pro final - Microsoft Community

Are there any other suggestions?

 

Microsoft store not opening

Hi,

Open an Admin PowerShell window and type:

• winget install 9WZDNCRFJBMP
  

See if that reinstalls the Store app. If that doesn't help, please try "Method 2" in this article:

• Reinstall Microsoft Store in Windows 10/11
