Windows 10: Microsoft Store Games accounts can't be removed.

So this problem is one of the major issues a lot of players of Microsoft app games encountered. In my case it is the March of Empire game of Gameloft installed on my win 10 laptop.


I can uninstall the game as many time as i try, but when i change to a different Microsoft account and log in to Microsoft Store and install the game again, it still loads back the old game account!!!! FYI my laptop is locally signed in, so not signed in with Microsoft Account. I don't sign my windows user account with Microsoft account nor will i ever do that as it is utterly useless and a bad habit.


The frustration from many players is very simple. /if the game is locally stored, make it so that we can delete the game progress account data when we choose to. And if the game is linked to microsoft account, WHY THE HELL CAN'T YOU LET US LOG IN AND LOG OUT EASILY AND SWITCH TO ANOTHER game ACCOUNT WHEN WE CHANGE THE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT? Isn't that the WHOLE POINT of linking a game account to microsoft/cloud based online account??


As per now and for the past YEARS, players of app games from Windows Store can NOT CHANGE GAME ACCOUNT EVER. THEY ARE TIED TO THAT ONE ACCOUNT THEY ONCE UP ON A TIME CREATED AND CAN'T GET RID OF. Does that seem like a smart user friendly solution to you guys at Microsoft???


So to sum it up: i and everybody else can't delete the account of a game i want to get rid of so that i can start fresh on a microsoft store game that i played. Nor can i ever switch between multiple in-game accounts on the same pc, unless i create a new user account in windows, which i DONT WANT TO BECAUSE THEN I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE WHILE LOGGED IN TO THAT TEMPORARY WINDOWS USER ACCOUNT EXCEPT PLAYING THAT ONE GAME.


How did we get into this damn mess Microsoft?!

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

 

Remove Microsoft account from Windows store

As per your query, I am led to believe that you want to remove your Office PC from the list of devices that you have configured to Windows Store.

If that is the case then, I suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Windows Store, click on the symbol that contains your username.

2. Locate and click on View Account, this will redirect you to the
Microsoft account page.

3. On the page, click on Devices.

4. Now select the Device that you wish to remove and click on Remove PC.
