Windows 10: Microsoft Store games crash if Explorer is running

Title basically explains my problem. Whenever I try to play Sea of Thieves or Forza Horizon 4 I also have Microsoft Flight Simulator, however, that never seems to crash the games always crash without any warnings or crash notifications or anything. It happens in an instant, I'm playing a game and next thing I know I'm on my desktop. The only fix that I have found for this is killing the explorer.exe task through task manager and running it again when I'm done playing. This wouldn't trouble me that much, but the main problem is the fact that I can't open xbox game bar and join a party/game with someone. The only thing I haven't tried yet is reinstalling Windows, however I want to wait for my new SSD to arrive before I try this.


System specs:

CPU: i7-870

GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX1080

RAM: 8GB DDR3

OS: Windows 10 Pro 2004 OS Build 19041.685

OS is installed on a SSD, game is on a HDD.


Tl;dr: Games downloaded through the Microsoft Store crash unless explorer.exe is killed through the task manager.

What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
