Windows 10: Microsoft Store Not Allowing Me To Update Old Apps or Install New Ones

Hello,My Microsoft Store appears to not be working properly. I can open it, but it does not allow me to update any apps. If I go to the app page of an app that is already installed, it only shows me a button to open the app, no option to update it. If I try to open the app page of an app I do not have installed, it crashes immediately. If I try to open the settings inside the app, it crashes immediately. I have tried things suggested in many other forum posts including using the "Repair" and "Reset" functions in the Windows settings for the Microsoft Store, I have tried using the wsreset.exe f

Uninstalled apps stuck "installing" in Microsoft Store (MSN News)

A corrupted Microsoft Store cache is one of the possible reasons why some apps are stuck in an "installing phase" when you try to uninstall them. We suggest that you try running the
Windows App troubleshooter to troubleshoot the issue.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you reset the Microsoft Store cache. You can follow the steps below to reset the Microsoft Store cache:

• Press Windows + R keys to open the run
  command box.
• Type WSReset, then try launching Microsoft Store and sign in.

Cannot install Microsoft Store apps on new Surface Pro 7

I just purchased a new Surface Pro and I cannot install any apps from the Microsoft Store. I've reset the Store app several times, updated the computer (I'm "up to date"), confirmed that my new device is listed in the Store, turned the BITS (?) system to
run automatically, ran troubleshoot for the Store, and a few other things.

The funny thing is that I just installed the apps that I'm looking to install on my old Surface Pro 4, without any issues.

Any suggestions?

 

Microsoft Store can't install new apps

Today I tried to update the apps and all of them, including those brought back to the queue, didn't install and the Store showed the same issue message for all of them. However, the three apps I tried to install which showed that issue first now appear in the recently added apps list in the Start menu. ▼

What's weirder, if I right-click on these three "problematic" apps, I get the option to uninstall them! ▼

The good news is that I succeeded to install Trio Office on my laptop. ▼





My laptop version is Windows 10 Pro 21H1 19043.1469. As to the desktop PC, which has that issue, I tried WSReset and resetting the Store via Settings TNA. I found with other suggestions, like reinstalling the Store using PowerShell. I'll try that when I have time. - - - Updated - - -

After trying what I said TNA, the repair install did it! Now the Store is OK and the apps I needed are installed. Thanks, steve108! But... Hey, it's Microsoft! I started to get this message, even with all the new Windows updates installed after the repair install. ▼

What is that and how can I fix it? TIA.
