Windows 10: microsoft store not detecting my other drive

So I was trying to install Microsoft flight sim and there is not enough space on my c drive so I was going to install it on my main drive d but it was not there, so I look it up and the common thing to do was to go into storage settings and change the location that new things would be installed so I did that but it did not work.

Microsoft store not detecting external drive

My son is trying to instal Microsoft Flight Simulator, but Microsoft Store is not detecting his external drive, though it is visible in Disk Management. It is usable on Steam.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

To resolve your concern about Windows Store, we suggest for you to follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
• Type wsreset.exe and press
  Enter.
• Restart the PC, sign in with your Microsoft user account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.
