Windows 10: microsoft store on Windows 10 won't install anything.

For some reason, there is no Notepad on my Windows 10 PC. I'm told it won't work with my version, which is the latest until the October release, which also won't update. Anyway, I need an alternative to Notepad. I found two, obtained them, and now they won't download to my PC. I've been trying since yesterday. The message is that something went wrong on Windows' end. What can I do?P.S. To post this I'm forced to choose a subtopic, but there is nothing matching my topic.

when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

the splash screen appears then goes

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
