Windows 10: Microsoft Store Restarting Downloads After Pausing & Restarts

I have recently started downloading Forza 4 via the Microsoft store and realized that every time i pause or restart my pc that the download restarts?


Is Windows/Microsoft Store intentionally throwing away the downloaded button? and if that's the case, is there a setting to remember the data that was downloaded?


I mean, why even include a pause option if it will restart your download in any case?


this seem dumb and for someone with limited data/ slow download speeds this seems silly that Microsoft could not think of a better solution.

Hi Mauricio,

As a first troubleshooting step, you can try clearing the Store cache to prevent issues in downloading big files. If you haven't tried this, feel free to check out the steps below:

• Click Cortana search bar and type WSReset. Hit the Enter key.
• Click on Run as administrator.

Once done, Windows Store will open and you should get a confirmation message saying that the cache for the Store was cleared. Restart your PC, and try downloading the game again.

Store Download Keeps Restarting

No worries guys my episode theory was true forza horizon 6 is downloaded, you just have to start the download keep it as it is don't interfere with it, even if it restarts keep it just as it is, when you are going to shutdown the computer just pause the
download but I suggest not to shutdown but to put it in hibernation mode. Do this, I know it is going to take time but it will be downloaded
