Hello, I may have found the solution to your 0x800706d9 error that occurs when you try to sign in to the Microsoft Store. I don't know exactly why it happens, but I'll give you the solution:We need to open Windows Services with WIN + R > services.msc. Once we're in that menu with a long list of system services, we need to find the one called "Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant". Once we find it, we need to select Properties > Manual we need to change its status to Manual so that it prompts us to sign in to the Microsoft Store. I am unable to download/install apps from the Microsoft Store

Clicking on the 'Get' button starts an attempt to download the app resulting in the button turning to 'Retry' stating "There has been an error. See details". Details, "Something unexpected happened. I have tried the below searches and answers without success. Please be aware I am not IT savvy and things like searching/editing the registry are mostly beyond me.
