Microsoft Store Updating Apps Painfully Slow.

Hi everyone. : Hopefully someone can help me as nothing else on the internet seems to help with this problem. I've just brought a new laptop with the following specs:Intel i7 13700H CPU32GB 3200Mhz RAMIntel AX211 Wifi CardNvidia Geforce 4060 GPU2x 1TB PCI-E Solid State DrivesRunning A Fresh Copy Of Windows 11 all fully up to date including the latest driversWe also have Full Fibre To The House at 100 Meg.I open up Microsoft Store, go down to library icon, click it and it lists 21 programs as pending on the updates. If I'm lucky, after quite some time it might get to the downloading part but e

  2. Microsoft store painfully slow/unstable and not showing my device

Hi grateful for any help here.

    1. Symptoms
      1. I bought a new PC and when setting it up followed MS suggestion to restore settings from previous PC. Windows 11 - all updates applied
      2. The PC/WIn Updates are good but Microsoft Store has been painfully slow (<1kbs compared to 80+Mbs for all other services)
      3. Occasionally says "acquiring licence" and has constantly spinning wheels when downloading. One minute apps say "Modified yesterday" - then next time I go in it gives different status
      4. Some apps eg iTunes show a cloud icon but when i try to download again they get stuck as slow
    2. What i've tried with no success
      1. I've performed wsreset a number of times
      2. Followed instructions with Powershell to re-install the store and apps
      3. Also removed the Store Cache
      4. Logged out, then back into Windows Store
      5. Used the Windows troubleshooter - does not show issues
      6. I've set the delivery optimisation off (to allow 100% bandwidth)
      7. In desperation performed both a reset of Windows, then finally a clean install and problem persists
    3. I've gone from Microsoft Store to Manage devices
      1. My device is shows as registered under Windows devices
      2. It does not show up under Microsoft Store devices
      3. I've tried changing computer name back to old PC (since decommissioned) and back again - I only have 2 devices shown under WIndows Store and removed reference to old devices no longer used
      4. Unhelpfully, Microsoft Store keep popping up message to say Games Pass trial free - which it was more than happy to do (and will happilly take my money) though it doesn't even show now in Store !!!
    4. I suspect the slow speed may be related now to the fact my device not showing as registered with WIndow Store
Any help appreciated - spent days on this. My other devices/laptop linked to my Microsoft account all behaving themselves and downloading updates (quickly) from Store.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    Microsoft Store App

    Hi James,

Since running the troubleshooter for Windows app didn't work, we suggest resetting Windows Store by following the steps below to resolve your issue:

    • Type Apps & features on search box/Cortana and click on it.
    • Look for Microsoft Store app and click on Advance options.
    • Click Reset button and retest.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide you further assistance.
