Windows 10: Microsoft store windows 11 stuck on loading and Updates stopped working.

Microsoft store and updates worked fine at first then it just suddenly stopped, ive tried countless attempts even using WSreset.exe and manually changing updates to automatic but it keeps going back to disabled, tired using powershell to reinstall microsoft store and also used command prompt for windows updates and nothing worked, im getting desperate here

Windows 11 Microsoft Store Updates Frozen

Hi,

I recently updated my laptop to Windows 11. I haven't really needed to update any of my apps, and so hadn't checked the Microsoft store for a while, but I encountered some problems when trying to open the new Minecraft Java launcher that was downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

I have tried many fixes related to the java launcher, none of them working, and my temporary fix is to continue using the older Minecraft java launcher.

I checked the Microsoft store to see if the java launcher required an update to start, but noticed that there are 6 frozen updates:

Films & TV = Installing

Microsoft Photos = Installing

HP System Event Utility = Installing

Spotify - Music and Podcasts = Pending

Microsoft To Do: Lists, Tasks & Reminders = Pending

Minecraft Launcher = Pending

I have tried many fixes to get it to work, but nothing seems to be helping. The updates never change.

The 3 installing apps are stuck at roughly 98% I'd say, and the three dots next to the item that would open a menu are greyed out and do nothing when clicked on.

The 3 pending apps are stuck with a spinning ring that usually symbolises loading, and the three dots next to the item open a small pop out menu with nothing listed on it.

I intended to keep using the old launcher until the problem had fixed itself (I had tried many different things to fix the store and the launcher), but then the other version of Minecraft I have on my computer, Bedrock, requires an update. The game has no launcher, and was downloaded straight from the Microsoft store, so in order to continue playing, I need to get the Microsoft store working again and update the game.

I have tried every step up, bar 9 and 10, given here, on this thread: Redirecting. I did not feel comfortable doing the last more technical steps not designed for Windows 11.

I searched for Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock) in the Microsoft store, and it only gave me the option to play, but not update.

When I click Get Updates, it seems to never finish loading.

Please help me!

Have you tried to reset the Windows Store as stated in the above response?

If the issue still persists after deploying the above troubleshooting steps, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
and check.

Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter, troubleshoots problems that may prevent Windows Store Apps from working correctly.

1. Press
Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Control Panel.

2. In the
Control Panel window, select Category and then select
Large icons.

3. Click on
Troubleshooting.

4. Click
View all and then click Windows Store Apps.

5. Click
Next and follow on-screen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Please follow the methods mentioned below:

Method 1:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

  Press Windows key
  and R key together to open the Run Window.

  Type wsreset.exe
  and press Enter key for the command to execute.
  

Method 2:

You may try to run the in-built Windows Store app troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows Key + X.
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  On the left pane, click on View All.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store apps to run the troubleshooter.
