Windows 10: Microsoft Store Won't Download a Purchase

    Microsoft Store Won't Download a Purchase


    So I purchased the PicStitch App in the MS Store and have been trying to download it for a while now. The store status runs through the standard updates getting info, etc., but when it gets to "Downloading Pic Stitch" it just hangs there with no movement.


    I was able to download an update for my phone connection, so some things are working.


    I have tried the following:

    - restarting

    - signing out and then back in to MS

    - resetting the cache wsreset

    - ran the Windows store troubleshooter

    - Reset the MS Store

    - Uninstalled and reinstalled teh MS Store via PowerShell

    - reset my WiFi even though that was not hanging and other apps were downloading


    At this point I am not sure what else can be done

    microsoft store games won`t play

    when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

    the splash screen appears then goes

    I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

    I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to reset Windows Store Cache and check if it helps.


    • Press Windows Key + R key to open run box.

    • Type WSReset.exe and hit Enter.
