Windows 10: Microsoft store won't let me install apps on my D:\ drive

So I was trying out the Xbox Game Pass for PC and I was going to install Sea Of Theives and Astroneer.

I first downloaded Astroneer to my C:\ my ssd and it worked out because it is around 3 GB it fit.

However, when I was going to install Sea Of Theives I had to change my default drive from C:\ to D:\ my hdd because I couldn't fit it on my ssd.

It downloaded fine, but when it was trying to install the game, it just stopped and said "Error" instead on installing. Then instead of the "Play" button there is a button called "See details". When I clicked it, a popup comes up saying: "Something unexpected happened. Reporting this problem will help us understand it better. You can wait for a while and try again or restart your device. That may help. Code: 0x80070005"


That is the code for "Access denied" which is strange, why wouldn't Microsoft Store have access to install apps on my computer?


I have tried updating windows to the latest update, I have reset the Microsoft Store and I have tried to give the group "Everyone" access to the folder that Microsoft Store is installing in. Without any success.


To summarise, I can install apps from Microsoft Store to my C:\ drive ssd, but not to my D:\ hdd. It downloads fine, but when it tries to install I get the following error: "Something unexpected happened. Reporting this problem will help us understand it better. You can wait for a while and try again or restart your device. That may help. Code: 0x80070005".

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.
