Windows 10: Microsoft store wont let me sign in

I changed my Password and updated my Phone number but when i try to purchase anything in the store it asks for my outlook password . I enter my password and it says the password is incorrect . Then when i click forgot password it wont give me my Gmail or Phone number to reset password . It only gives me a phone number that i haven't had for 2 years as the option . I updated all this information on my Microsoft account and have no issue signing in there and it displays correct contact info as well as lets me use my actual password that the store says is not my password . How can i fix this without losing all my previous purchases or just going over to the Apple side ? Really dont want to go Apple as I've always had windows and a PC.

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Update us with the result.

Please give us the complete error message if any.

I would suggest you to refer to the following steps:

• 
  Press Windows +R Keys to open Run command
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe and hit enter
  

Now, try to open store and see if that helps.
