    Microsoft Store won't open after updating itself


    After doing a clean installation of Windows 10, I started doing all the necessary driver and system updates from Windows Update. After that, I opened Microsoft Store and started downloading and updating apps from it as well. The problem is that once it started updating itself, after I closed it to let it update, it never opened again. I even tried rebooting the system and trying to start it again, but to no use. I also tried using wsreset.exe, only to be encountered with the following error message:Thankfully I can open already downloaded apps, but can't download any new app until the issue is

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to reset Windows Store Cache and check if it helps.


    • Press Windows Key + R key to open run box.

    • Type WSReset.exe and hit Enter.

    microsoft store games won`t play

    when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

    the splash screen appears then goes

    I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

    I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

    Microsoft Store won't open after updating itself

    Store Settings "Update apps automatically" won`t stay switched off. WHY?

    Hi H. G.,

    The possible reason why Update apps automatically turn back on is that the Store app is running in the background. We suggest that you turn off the Store app. This way, it won't receive any updates or send notifications unless opened or turned on
    manually.

    To turn off Store app, follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo, then go to Settings.
    • Click Privacy, then Background apps.
    • On the list, locate Store and toggle it off.
