Windows 10: Microsoft Store won't update old apps or download new ones. "Something happened on our end"...

The Microsoft Store won't update any of the existing apps I have installed that need updates and this has been like this for a while now but I've simply ignored it as it wasn't detrimental to anything I was doing at the time. I just went to download the Dolby Access App for my new headphones and I can't even download new apps. I'm tired of this issue and it's now time to find a fix. I tried looking it up but I was unable to find a thread that helped me solve my issue. I tried signing out of the Microsoft Store, restarting my pc, then signing back into the Microsoft Store. I tried Windows Key+R

Problem with Microsoft store. Can’t download new apps

The Microsoft Store App is not working on any of my machines. All I am doing is trying to update the apps. Says the problem is at Microsoft's end:

when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

the splash screen appears then goes

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.
