Windows 10: Microsoft Streets and Trips - Works for 20 mins, then no longer tracks? Tried two different...

Hello everyone,


I used to use Microsofts Streets and strips since a decade ago. I love it despite using Google maps here and there.


Well.. About a few months ago, I pulled out my old version of Streets and Trips, used it for a bit. Started noticing it would take 20 mins to track. Eventually, it just stopped working all together. I figured my transmitter stopped working or something...


Bought a new version of streets and trips, along with a new transmitter. Installed everything on a totally new laptop. Worked for about 2 mins? And then nothing. I get directions, but nothing else.


I've tried three different laptops all together, two different versions of transmitters, two different versions of the software. All laptops are running Windows 10, fully updated, all drivers accounted for. Is it due to Microsoft dropping support? Even thou they discontinued it, I should be still able to use the app and transmitter no?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Microsoft Streets & Trips, you may receive the error message that says "Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly”, if the installation was not completed successfully.

For troubleshooting steps to help resolve this error message in Microsoft Streets & Trips 2010, you can follow these steps:

• Using File Explorer, go to "Program Files (x86)".
  
• Find the Streets & Trips 2010 folder and then go to
  Streets.exe.
  
• Right-click Streets.exe and select
  Properties.
  
• Click the Compatibility tab and tick the
  Run as Administrator checkbox.
  
• Re-enter the Product Key and re-register online.
