Windows 10: Microsoft Support suggest I post problem with hope of finding engineers able to fix...

Hi there,I am Brand New To Community. Ongoing issue with 2025-05 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5058481I have been through Microsoft Support remote access who were unable to fix issues. My friend installed this update without issue. Issue is - Taskbar search is 'Dead' - Update continues to request restart - Unable to check for any updates. I have been trying to fix for days and even deleted Bitdefender Program. Any engineers out there as suggested by Microsoft Support. Cannot Change Default Search Engine tyo Google in Microsoft Edge

Hi,

When I am trying to change my default search engine for my Microsoft edge browser in advanced settings I am neither able to type anything or select anything and add is disabled as well can anybody suggest how to fix this please. as per the notes mentioned
for changing the default browser engine, the second step mentioned here below I am not able to perform as there is nothing enabled to either select or type the engine's website.

• Select More actions (...) > Settings and then scroll down to select
  View advanced settings. In the list under Search in the address bar with, select
  Change.
• Select your search engine's website and then select Set as default. If you don't select the search engine, the
  Set as default button will be grayed out.

Please suggest.

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
