Windows 10: Microsoft Surface Book BSOD - registry_error - Won't boot. How can I fix this?

Discus and support Microsoft Surface Book BSOD - registry_error - Won't boot. How can I fix this? in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; My wife's Surface Book will not boot.     Microsoft Surface Book BSOD - registry_error - Won't boot. How can I fix this?


    My wife's Surface Book will not boot. Just cycles through the BSOD showing registry_error. I can get to a command prompt by booting from a USB stick. Is there any way to fix this issue without completely reinstalling the OS? Anything I try to do with diskpart or DSIM just complains that the disk is write protected.

    BSOD Registry_Error help

    So since last night I have been getting a BSOD shortly after windows loads with the message "Registry_Error." Has happened both at overclocked and stock settings for everything. Has anyone seen it before, have ideas on how to possibly fix it, or should I just reinstall windows?

    This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

    *Arrow Boot Microsoft Surface from a USB device

    Otherwise, you should be able to use OPTION ONE below to boot from the USB from advanced startup.
