Windows 10: Microsoft Surface Lap Top - sign in problems

When I tried to log in to my Surface Laptop, I was unable to - did not see the usual box that pops up, asking for the password. So I saw the home screen, with the temperatire weather location, etc. but I could not get anything to start because I could not log in using my password.I looked online for a Microsoft support number and found this one online, which I called: 866 491 7244. Dell lap top problem

The Dell lap top starts up and then after a minute shuts off. It told me to go to this site "recoverykey.faq. what is my next step to correct this problem?

 

Lap top sign in

My lap top sign in is showing a teams email sign in which is t correct and I have rebooted I can’t access windows to change anything I have tried control alt delete and that didn’t work as well it’s stuck on this

 

Signing in to my lap top

Three people are authorized to sign into and use MY Lap Top. My wife rarely does, thus she can't remember password. I can use "account.live.com/password/reset with my Microsoft account and sent code number to her cell phone. Question will that code be for
her or for me. Understand that.....she's not trying to change email PW, proplem is that she does not know PW to log into the lap top and will need to use my Microsoft account to do so is that possible or is there another way.
