Windows 10: Microsoft surface pro running windows 10 - Screen Share or play on a smart tv?

I have a new surface pro with the latest version of windows and a late model Samsung smart TV, both on the same wireless network. Can I get the picture that is on my surface pro to appear on my TV?

I bought the surface pro because I'm sure I saw something somewhere that led me to believe this was possible on this machine, but can't figure out how. I'm not bothered about picture or video sharing, I want to show google maps to my family while we plan our next road trip but the screen on the surface pro is rather small to get us all around it to see properly!

Can anyone help out with this? I've seen a lot asking similar questions but can't see a response that solves my problem...

Connecting Surface Pro 4 to Samsung Smart TV

I am trying to share a screen via Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10 to my Samsung Smart TV. Both devices are up to date with software. The Samsung TV is set to screen mirroring function and then I search on the Surface and the TV is identified. But when
trying to connect I get the error message on Windows 10 "couldn't connect". Is there a fix for this?

 

Connecting Samsung Smart TV with Microsoft Surface Pro

Hi,

I am using mi Microsoft Surface Pro to connect to my Samsung Smart TV.

I changes source to Screen Mirroring on my Smart TV and clicked on connect on my Surface after which it displays my TV name.

When I click on the TV name, it shows connecting on both my TV and my Surface Pro but after some time it says "Couldn't Connect"

I use my TV to connect with my mobile phone with same option but its not working for Surface Pro.

How can I solve this issue ?

 

Win 10 on Surface Pro will not share screen with LG Smart TB

When I try to connect to my Surface Pro 3 to our LG smart TV the TV detects the attempt (message "Surface is trying to connect"), but the connection fails with a message (Unable to connect to Screen Share, try again) on the Surface it says (connection failed).

I tested the same TV with another Win 10 computer and everything worked fine. This indicates that something is wrong with the drivers on the Surface Pro. What can I try to fix it?

TV is LG webOS OLED55C7P
