  1. Microsoft Teams Meatings cause audio stutter and eventual hang

After around 20 or 30 minutes in, in any meeting no matter how many people attending, my audio starts to stutter, and then a minute later the machine almost hangs entirely and becomes unresponsive. I get mouse bunny. I am unable to leave the meeting even. CPU load is high, but not maxed out. Lenovo 8 core Thinkpad T480 16Gb Physical ram. Pagefile set to auto. When it hangs, I am unable to actually leave the meeting for about 2 minutes due to high load. I can rejoin and everything is fine for another 20 or so minutes, so it's clearly an interaction the meeting software has.1. No other apps do t

    Audio driver conflict causing stuttering?

    Hi Techhelper89,

Unfortunately, I did the instructions as mentioned in the thread and the stuttering persists. I used the link provided: and the steps requested

    http://www.tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup.exe

I also tried reinstalling the Realtek Audio drivers as suggested by the thread to no avail.

I've also added some links of how the stuttering looks and sounds like to the main post of this thread. I hope it helps identify the issue.

One more thing I noticed after the above steps is that I can boot with Nvidia HD Audio drivers disabled but the stuttering persist. Enabling then disabling "cures" the stuttering for a while. Although, when this is happening while the Nvidia Audio drivers are
disabled (as there is an enable option) the icon doesn't look like one that is normally disabled (with a small circular arrow down icon).

    Cheers,

    Ben

Microsoft Teams Audio faint for multiple users

We've had a number of users who recently received new devices complain of faint microphone output.

    Devices affected

    • 3 x New Surface Pro 7
    • 2 x New Surface Pro Book 3
I'll add steps we've taken to test the device at the bottom.

So far, we believe it may be user-specific as we have been unable to replicate the issue using a local admin account.

These devices were provisioned ~1 week ago. Users raised the issue shortly after they were delivered.

There is nothing physically wrong with the devices. No bangs, scuffs, cracks, screen protectors, etc.

    Steps taken so far:

    On end-user profile

    • Current call is done via Teams and mic audio is definitely quite low
    • Checked Mic settings and are already all at max
    • No Booster available for Mic
    • No additional settings in Teams to enhance mic audio
    • Ran Windows Updates and no updates found
    • Checked Device Manager and is up to date there as well
    • Computer was just rebooted not too long ago too
    • Checked Recording sound options
    • Reset sound options to default
    • Troubleshoot Realtek microphone - didnt pick up anything
    • uninstalled microphone realtek audio drivers
    • restarted computer - tested on Teams - still very faint
    On Local Admin profile

    • Tested mic via camera app and teams call - Could not replicate the issue.

Please let me know if there's any additional information that would help find a solution.
