Windows 10: Microsoft To Do notifications issue

Hi all, I have a really strange issue with Microsoft To Do at the moment - I only get notifications reminders if my display is ON. If my display is in sleep mode, I get no notifications at all. I can setup tasks with reminder times but they won't come up - absolutely nothing in the notification bar. But, if I'm actively using my computer, I get the notifications from To Do no problem.


As mentioned, the only pattern I can see is that the notifications don't come through when my display is in sleep mode. I have that set to 10 minutes in case that matters.


Windows 10 is on 20H2 and fully up to date. I've checked in the Microsoft Store as well and it says To Do is up to date as well as of a few days ago so I think it's getting updates OK.


Other apps work just fine - Mail, Calendar, Your Phone, etc. notifications reliably come through even when my display is in sleep mode. It's just To Do that's not working right.


Anyone experiencing the same issue? Anything I can try?

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Follow these steps to check if it works:

Step 2: Click Notifications & Actions in the left-hand menu. This will take you to a screen providing access to all of the settings related to notifications and the Action Center.

Step 3: Click the System icon, then select Notifications and actions from the left-hand menu.

Step 4: Look for the Notifications subheading, where you will see a number of toggles for various types of notifications. The following is a list of the settings you can toggle on this screen:

• Get notifications from apps and other senders
• Show notifications on the lock screen
• Show alarms, reminders, and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen
• Hide notifications when duplicating my screen
• Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows

You may just turn them off the notification as you need.

I suggest you to check if the Mail notifications are set to on in your system. Follow the steps provided below to set Mail notification on.

• In search box, type Notification.
• Click on Notification & action settings.
• Under show notification for these app.
• Check if the Mail app notification is on.
