Windows 10: Microsoft Update Causing Freezing

Around September 20th, I downloaded a Windows update I don't recall the KB number unfortunately and after that, I began to experience freezing every time I closed a game and occasionally while watching YouTube on Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox or while chatting through Discord. After I uninstalled the update, the freezing stopped. After that, I totally avoided update for a month.After that month, on October 20th, I decided to update Windows to whatever most modern update was available, hoping the freezing issue was gone. And... it isn't. I even uninstalled the update again and the freezing is

Thank you for your response: apologies for slow feedback.

Regarding step 1 - doing a restore point : I tried this twice and twice it failed. Now, the date of the update that caused the issue (13/14 September 2019) has disappeared from the history list. Is there a way of finding it, still?

Regarding Step 2- the list of updates installed: the two suggestions above do not seem to appear in the list in the window "Installed Updates".

There are two updates listed for 13 September - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and Security Update for Microsoft Windows.

Could you advise what I might try next?

Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.
