Issues with Windows updates and several apps

Hello,

I sorry but I have got number of problems with my Windows 10 Home:

1. In the Settings Update panel the download does not starts even if I am logged to the computer in with Microsoft account.

4. In Settings Update panel the long list of failed uppdates is displayed.

2. In MS AppStore the standard apps download buttons are blind ex. for Calculator2.

I have run the advice at the url: Microsoft photos app will not open in windows 10 - photo error saying invalid value for registry

I also reinstalled all the apps with PowerShell comand line.

Number of apps disappeared!

Bellow is the message from running the apps.diagcab - DIAGNOSTICS FILE

I would be very oblidged for help because I have now no use of my computer.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are unable to perform updates and some of the apps fail. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

To assist you better, I would like to know whether you are facing difficulties with the Windows default apps.

The reason that the updates failed may be due to corruptions in Windows update components.

I suggest you to run the BITS troubleshooter and Windows update troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issues with Windows update.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Background Intelligent Transfer Service.
  
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
  
• Check if issue persists.
  
• Once finished with the BITS troubleshooter, now run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
  
• Windows Update Troubleshooter.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Windows Update.

If the above steps did not help, then please follow the below steps.

Check if the following services are enabled: Background Intelligent Transfer Service, Windows Update and
Cryptographic Services.

1. Press Windows Key + R.

2. Type "services.msc" in the box. Make sure that the above mentioned services are enabled:

To turn on the services, you can right click on the service and select
Start. Also make sure that service has Manual or
Automatic as Startup Type.

Once you are able to download the updates, check if the issues with the apps has been resolved, because most of the issues will get resolved after performing the updates.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Just been there even typed it in no new updates for me yet

 

Surely these should download via Windows Update?

 

They will auto update from the store at some point, if the option hasn't been turned off, checking for updates in the store just makes it quicker if you know there are updates available

I have the Maps one, but not seeing the others

 

Only 2 for me: Maps and Photo App.

 

Found them after reading link but only 2 apps Maps and Photos updated

 

Just had One Note update via store

 

Same here! Update comes in waves.
Two in the morning, one now.

 

Same here for me too, only one I got was One Note....5 mins ago...

 

So hopefully the rest will come soon

 

Just had Groove Music update looks like they are doing a few a day that came via store
Yahoo Mail just been downloaded from store

 

Just had store update its self from store apps

Tonight: 4 MSN Updates - Sports, News, Financal, Weather.......! *Smile
