Windows 10: Microsoft USB-connected wireless mouse not connecting... Help?

Hello!!! I have a Microsoft USB-connected wireless mouse that I've been using for 1-2 years on my Dell laptop. A few months ago the battery died, and I finally got around to replacing it today. However, I now find that it doesn't connect anymore.


The light on the mouse is still blue and I assume it's still functional, but when I plug the USB into my laptop, there is no sound and it doesn't connect. I've tried using different ports, turning both the laptop and mouse on and off again, updating the drivers and even updating the whole computer, but nothing is working. What can I do?

Why isn't my m325 wireless mouse connected to pc?

Hello. My Logitech m325 wireless mouse doesn't connect to the pc. I have downloaded the unifying software to connect it. The software detects the Logitech usb. However, when I get to the step where I restart the mouse to connect, it doesn't connect and doesn't detect it. I have restarted the pc and I have restarted the mouse correctly. The mouse battery is okay as well. Please help.

 

Wireless Mouse connects as a keyboard

Hi there.

I've tried doing all of these steps, and it still doesn't work. I can see the device in 'Connected devices' in 'Settings'. It is listed as 'Microsoft Nano Tranceiver' but has a keyboard icon next to it. the mouse is a Microsoft Mouse 1850. This also occurs
with other wireless mice I have tried, and they connect but all have the keyboard icon next to them.

Wireless USB Mouse Not Working

We appreciate that you have isolated the issue for us. Since it is not happening to other wireless USB mouse connected to the same PC and to a different PC using the same wireless USB mouse, we can verify that there is no issue with the device connection.
Also, an outdated device has already been eliminated to the possible cause of this issue. As an initial recommendation, we would suggest that you reset the mouse itself. Here's how:

• Check the bottom of the mouse and look for a small button.
• Press the button and start moving the mouse until the cursor on the display starts to follow your mouse movements.
