Windows 10: Microsoft Utility Apps disappear/stop working on Host VM AVD

I am using Azure Virtual Desktop with several host pools and multiple hosts inside those pools. Randomly, I will see Microsoft utility apps like "Snipping Tool" or "Notepad" stop working and disappear from the apps list. I am able to go out to the Microsoft store to reinstall the apps and get it working again. This will happen to one or two hosts in a pool and seems to happen after the AVD Monitoring Agent is updated this could be just a coincidence.

AVD Hibernation

Hi All

I created a AVD D4s v5

- hibernation enabled

- extension is installed

- Page file there

But when i hibernate the VM and then login to it all app file are closes - like hibernation would not work

but in the portal i can see the VM status hibernated

any idea what im doing wrong ?

If you have sufficient space to install Windows 10 on your computer, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open Windows Explorer.
• Navigate to “C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download”
• Delete everything in this folder.
• Now Open Command Prompt with administrator.
• Type wuauclt.exe /updatenow
• Press Enter key.
