Windows 10: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 for Windows 10

Hello

So i noticed that for me Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 are not installed. Only C++ 2008 and 2010 basic are installed.

My question is : does C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10 ? I don't know if 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 were made ONLY for Windows 7 SP1 so that's why i'm asking.

Do C++ 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 work with Windows 10 ?

I might need them for other apps like games and don't if i should install them or not. Please i would really love a fast reply because i really have to solve this.

Thanks for the update on the result of you performing the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since you're still getting the error message, we suggest that you get in touch with the application developer to verify the compatibility of the app with Windows 10
as well as confirm what other components it needs to install properly. The reason we are suggesting this is that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages are generally pre-installed in the Windows operating system and additional Microsoft Visual C++
2008 SP1 Redistributable Packages may require an additional license to install.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64) Error

So I am trying to install Auto-desk Inventor 2015 (the original product) and every time I am getting a error. The error in the log is as follows:

Now I have tried to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64) on its own and every time I install I am getting the following error:

Error 997. Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

Due to this error I can't even install other applications such as Adobe Photoshop so any help is greatly appreciated. I have already looked at other questions but nothing seems to have worked thus far.

I am running a genuine Windows 10 PC (64bit)
