Windows 10: Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 End of support

One of our Applications has dependency on Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 SP1. However Microsoft already retired VC++ 2012 version. Our security vulnerability team reached out asking to remove this version but then it will break our original application system. Can you please advice if there are any security issues if we use VC++ 2012 version. If yes, how can we upgrade without impacting the original functionality?
