Windows 10: Microsoft Visual C++ Run time Error

Thank you for taking the time to read and help! After recently having a hardware failure on my computer I was forced to change the Hard Drive and do
a factory reset, and upgrade to windows 10. After this I have experienced this Run Time error, about 2-3 times. The error has caused the program I was
using Adobe Premier Pro to shut down. I also tried opening a photo and this error showed up. However after getting the message I was able to click OK and start the program back up! I don't want any more serious issues popping up down the road and would like to know what I can do now so I don't see the message again. I just want to make sure this is not an hardware issue as well. In some of my own research I was told to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library to fix the issue? I wasn't sure if deleting the current library would effect the computer at all. Thank you for all the input, advice, and help to get this resolved! God Bless!

This error may occur due to a program using Visual C++.

I would suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and
uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Microsoft visual c++ 2015 error when running steam games


When i launch a steam game that needs to install visual c++ i get this error



If i hit ok i get this error



Ive gone through my program list and uninstalled all of the microsoft visual C++ programs listed, and reinstalled them but i still get the error.

Does the issue occur mostly when you are working on windows explorer window?

This type of error is usually related to damaged C++ components installed. Download and install the latest Visual C++ runtime. Locate and then remove the existing Visual C++ installation. To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1:

1. Press Windows key + X, click on
control panel.

2. Go to Programs and Features.

3. Locate
Microsoft Visual C++ in the list of installed programs.

4. Click
Microsoft Visual C++, and then click Uninstall.



Note: If you cannot find Microsoft Visual C++ in the installed programs list, go to step 2

Step 2: Follow the steps to remove the software.

Download and then install the latest Visual C++ runtime. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site: Microsoft Download Center: Windows, Office, Xbox & More

2. Download latest Visual C++

3. Make sure that the computer is installed with all the latest hardware drivers
