Windows 10: Microsoft Voice Recorder's screen date format Windows 10 Pro

Hi,Can someone guide me on how to change the format of the date that's shown on the screen for the standard Windows 10 Voice Recorder?I am in Australia, so use the non-US format. ie I would want 4th July 2024 to show as 4/7/24. However, Voice Recorder displays 7/4/24. See image below.I have, of course, set the Windows' primary date setting to the Gregorian format. See image below. ie it's set as this... I also found and changed an obscure setting to change the language for non-Unicode programs. It was set as US, so I changed it to Australia. I did a cold re-start after any change. ie not

Microsoft Voice Recorder Windows 10 will not open

For some reason Microsoft Voice Recorder decided it will not open. The icon is still on the start menu, but nothing happens.

I looked to see if I can uninstall and reinstall but it is not listed with the apps.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for posting back.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the app and check if the issue persists. To do so, follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key
  and type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell
  and select Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsSoundRecorder * | remove-appxpackage

4. Re-install the Windows Voice Recorder app from Windows Store

Windows 10 Lock Screen date format

We appreciate the information that you've given. This issue may have occurred due to the selected Format under Region. There are locations that happen to follow a certain date and time format. To correct the format, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Press Windows icon + X and select Control Panel.
• On the Control Panel window, select Clock, Language, and Region.
• Under Region, select Change date, time, or number formats.
• On the Region window, under Formats tab, select
  English (United States) on the drop-down menu on Format.
• Click Apply and OK.
