    Security Alert pop-up warnings?

    The Security Alert warning pop-ups are about to take over my computer. They were constant on Yahoo and now are ruling MSN and other sites such as Hotmail. Have followed instructions to get rid of them but nothing is working. Thanks for any advice.

    Pop Up security warning

    Good that you didn't click on anything and that you didn't call that number. That what you were seeing are fake alerts which try to trick you into calling some obscure companies who then will try to sell you their unneeded services/products.

    Please read the following article which describes in detail various methods how to get out of such pop ups. The article also mentions methods how to prevent these kind of fake alerts.


    In case you keep on getting these pop ups, it is recommended to run some scans as described here:

    I've found that warning (alert) pop ups go the background instead of foreground as an alert should. Is there a setting that controls that in W10?

    I've found that warning (alert) pop ups go the background instead of foreground as an alert should. Is there a setting that controls that in W10?

    For instance, trying to replace a file with one of the same name - the warning pop up didn't go to the foreground so the warning wasn't seen until both browser instances were closed.
