Windows 10: Microsoft Weather App Radar saying I need to Install Edge Webview2 Eventhough it's already...

Yesterday I tried checking the radar on the Microsoft Weather app, but it said I needed to install Edge Webview2 Runtime. I installed it then restarted my computer and it still says it still needs to be installed. I tried repairing the Weather app and that didn't work I tried resetting the Weather app and that didn't work, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and that didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Webview2 and that didn't work. I tried using System Restore which restored my PC to a state before I had the problem and that didn't work. I checked to make sure I didn'

In the Microsoft Edge WebView2 control documentation, you can see that WebView2 is used to show web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in native apps.

Uninstalling the WebView2 should not corrupt the OS, in the worst case if open an app that needs the WebView2 you will see a blank page, or only this app will crash.

Thank you. Those are vital components in my opinion. And as such Edge WebView2 should not be uninstalled; however, there's quite a bit of discussion online that unless you use Edge and Widgets, it should be uninstalled.

I would like to see Microsoft due something about the large size of the Edge WebView2 at around 200 MB (always running) and coupled with Defender anti-virus, another 300 MB, you're using almost half a gigabyte of memory. Many newer laptops and PCs are running with 8 GB of RAM and consumes quite a bit of resources, many needlessly (like Photos, Windows Media Player etc.)
