Windows 10: Microsoft Wedge keyboard windows 11 Pin code problem

I need to connect my old Microsoft Wedge keyboard. However, I have the old issue where it doesnt accept the pin code.I am running win11 pro 22631.4169 and its fully updated. Just checked.The computer is a HP Probook G440.Not sure where to begin troubleshooting. As I said, I have checked win update, as well as searched for newer drivers. Not found any.

Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard not pairing Windows 10

Sadly Microsoft wedge mobile keyboard is not supported on windows 10 and is compatible only up till windows 8.1 as listed in the official documentation by Microsoft itself here

I would suggest to try the methods below and checks if it helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you to download and install latest keyboard software\driver in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Click on the download option and download the driver and install it in compatibility mode.

If that does not helps contact to the Microsoft hardware support.

To install the keyboard software\driver
in compatibility mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps.

a. Download the latest
keyboard software\driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

b. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and
select latest Windows version from the drop down list.

e. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Method 2:

If the issue still persists, try methods three.

Method 3:

Uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager

  Press Windows key +
  X from the Keyboard and click on Device Manager.

  In Device Manager, double click on the
  Keyboard.
  
• 
  It will show you the device driver name,
  select that device and then right click on it. Click on
  Uninstall button.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.
  
• 
  Repeat the same for
  Mice and other pointing devices.
