Windows 10: Microsoft Window 10 Pro version 2004 update have disable "change connection properties"

Hi, i recently purchase new pc and purchase 1 Window 10 Pro. I having difficulty to set up and make connection with my server which require domain. Then only I found out the latest update 2004 have disable this function called "Change Connection Properties". I want to ask, without this function, any other methods to connect my server with this new pc. Thank you.

No, it doesn't. Microsoft admitted that they disregard the GP settings, so your only options for disabling updates are via disabling its services or blocking the connection externally (both are applicable to the home version). The above is true for Enterprise as well.

 

Windows 10 Creators Update Might Force Updates Even on Metered Connections

A wording change in the latest build of the upcoming Creators Update for Windows 10 has users on metered connections worried. In previous Microsoft Insider's builds of the Creators Update, the section of the license agreement pertaining to automatic updates said "updates will be downloaded and installed automatically, except over metered connections (where charges may apply)."

In this latest build, the wording has been changed to a more worrisome version implying updating may still happen for important updates: "We'll automatically download and install updates, except on metered connections (where charges may apply). In that case, we'll automatically download only those updates required to keep Windows running smoothly."





Obviously, this implies critical updates and such may still be pulled from a metered connection without prior user consent. Considering many "critical updates" from Microsoft today come in the form of "Patch Tuesday" rollups often nearing a gig, this could get expensive on a metered connection where users pay by the gigabyte or worse.

Have you tried to disable IPv6?

Step 1. Open "Control Panel" and click on "Network and Sharing Center".

Step 2. Click "Change adapter settings". Double-click on your active Network Adapter on the Internet Connection window.

Step 3. Click "Properties" and find the "Internet Protocol Version 6" entry on the list. Uncheck it and click "OK". Then, restart your computer and see if the problem still exists.

In the "Properties" window above, could you check if Client for Microsoft Network is also anabled?
