Windows 10: Microsoft Windows 10 digital key for a new desktop I am building right now?

I was not able to find anybody to explain to me how to purchase a LEGAL Microsoft digital key or product key for a Windows 10 desktop that I currently building. I cannot use my old Windows 7 key as it is an OEM license and therefore it cannot be moved to my new PC.I downloaded a fresh copy of Windows 10 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 on my USB flash drive. I guess, I may be able, but not sure, to load Windows 10 ISO file? from my USB drive but, at a certain point, the loading procedure will ask me to provide a digital key OR product key that I do not have. Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

 

Windows 10 digital activation issues new build

I originally had windows 7 purchased from amazon a long time ago, I upgraded my pc to windows 10 and have used it it for years issue free.

Now I have built a new PC and can not activate my digital license on my new pc, here's what I have done.

• verified on my old PC by going to settings and activation that its activated with a digital license tied to my Hotmail account.
  
• got my windows product key
  
• checked the license code is retail by using slmgr -dli
  
• deactivated the key by using slmgr.vbs /upk
  
• installed windows on new build
  
• logged into my hotmail account tied to the digital license on the new build[according to microsoft website it should activate once connected to the internet, it did not)
  
• entered product key by clicking change product key in settings - activation
  

now it says we cant activate windows on this device because you don't have a valid product key. error code 0x803FA067

I have since found out the product key I got from old build is just a generic one used by Microsoft and not the original I used when I originally installed windows 7 years ago

I have contacted Microsoft support at 13:00 and was told I will receive a call in 26 minutes its now 20:00 and no call

can somebody help please ?
