Windows 10: Microsoft Windows 11 PC goes into sleep mode while on UPS uninterrupted power supply

Hi,This has been a pain for me. My PC running Windows 11 Pro version 23H2 behaves weirdly when my home grid power is gone due to electricity load-shedding. It goes into sleep mode immediately when the electricity backup shifts on UPS Uninterrupted Power Supply or behaves weirdly like opening and closing different applications, typing starts on its own, etc. Once the electricity is back through the grid. Everything is back to normal. I've also disabled "Allow Hybrid Sleep" from the control panel in the Power Settings. But still the same issue.I also took my PC to the computer shop but they

Windows 11 PC Sleep Mode Issue: Unresponsive Wake-Up and Fast-Spinning Fans

I am encountering a problem with my Windows 11 PC where it fails to wake up from sleep mode. The only solution I've found to turn it back on is by manually switching off the power supply and then switching it back on. Additionally, I've noticed that as soon as I initiate sleep mode, my computer's fans start spinning at a high speed. This issue began occurring randomly, and I have not made any recent updates or changes to my system.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken So Far:

1. Checked for Windows Updates: I ensured that my Windows 11 is up to date with the latest updates and patches.
   
2. Driver Updates: I have also verified that all my device drivers are up to date.
   
3. Power Settings: I reviewed and adjusted my power settings
   
4. Enabled & Disabled Fast Startup and Hibernate
   

 

Uninterruptible Power Supply a Requirement?


Should it be a part of the 'test for readiness' of a system that it has a functioning uninterruptible power supply that will run the system long enough to allow any and all 'automatic updates to Windows 10.'

In their wisdom, Microsoft tells us 'do not turn off your machine' when updates are running. It is already pretty much a part of life under Windows 7 and 8. Patches are downloaded, you shut down (perhaps for the night) and when you power up updates are installed and your machine restarts before the opera sting system is available for use.

How many of us can predict in advance a 'power hiccup' that lasts just long enough to thoroughly screw up an update?

How many of us might wake up in the morning concerned about the effects of a storm and forget that an update is waiting.

Help me understand why users should not be told that an uninterruptible power supply is as much a requirement for running Windows 10 as sufficient memory or a powerful enough processor.

Power supply getting OFF while putting the PC on Sleep mode.

Hi...Have you tried my suggestion?...I have had issues with 'Sleep' mode and it was always due to 'Video Adapter'.

The Power Supply can be controlled by the way you have your settings configured.

It can be a simple setting but not the 'Power Supply' as you have noted.

What Video card or system are you using {on board or added and installed}?
